 Craighead County District Court Judge

Craighead County District Court handles cases based on the subject matter of criminal, civil, traffic and smallclaims. Civil cases are handled in the civil division where at least one of the parties is represented by an attorney. Such cases are also dealt with in the small claims division where individuals and some other entities represent themselves and no attorney is allowed. The civil cases must all be limited to $5000, not including any interest, costs or attorney fees. The criminal and traffic cases are generally classified as misdemeanors or violations. Additionally the Court holds felony probable cause hearings on a daily basis. Court is held in Jonesboro and Lake City on a weekly basis.
