Lesia Couch, Eastern District Deputy Clerk

Lesia is a lifelong resident of Caraway, Arkansas. She graduated Caraway Central High School in 1979 andworked for Heritage Bank for 16 yrs prior to running for Eastern District Deputy Clerk in 1999. She have been unopposed for 5 terms. She is married to Fred Couch and they have three sons, and seven grandchildren with one on the way. She has three employees, Deb, Donna and Sonja that help make this office run smoothly.

OFFICE DUTIES

Eastern District Craighead County consists of the towns of Lake City, Monette, Black Oak, Caraway, part of Lunsford, Dixie, Lester, most of range 6 and all of range 7 in Craighead County. Our office is responsible for assessing Personal Property for Eastern and Western District, collecting delinquent Personal for Eastern and Western District and collecting delinquent real estate taxes for Eastern District only. We are the keeper of records for deeds, mortgages, etc and take care of Domestic Relations, Civil, Criminal & Probate filings. We also issue Marriage License and help take care of the early voting in Eastern District.
We are very blessed to have the Revenue Office in our building. People can feel the small town convince of coming in and getting everything taken care of in one location. We continue to strive to have a friendly office for prompt service.
