THE CRAIGHEAD COUNTY
QUORUM COURT
JUNE 27, 2011



The Quorum Court of Craighead County, Jonesboro, AR, met in regular session,
at 7:00 p.m. on June 27, 2011 June 27, 2011 in the Craighead County in the Craighead County Courthouse Annex Courthouse Annex with Judge Ed Hill presiding. Ed Hill presiding.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Justice Suiter and recited by all. and recited by all.

Judge Hill called the meeting to order and a prayer was offered by Justice
Render. A roll call vote was taken by Deputy Clerk Marla Lewis. The following
justices were present for the meeting: Justices Stacks, Bowers, Bryant, Hendri meeting: Justices Stacks, Bowers, Bryant, Hendrixx, ,
Weinstock, Render, Tennison, Suiter, Blankenship, and Couch. Justices Hoke,
Hawkins and Cox were absent. Also present was Greg Chance of KASU Radio
Station, Waylon Harris from the Jonesboro Sun, Garland Tipton, Eastern District a
Deputy Sheriff and Tony Thomas, Administrative assistant to the county judge.
Mr. Harold Carter, a concerned citizen was also present. sent.

A motion was made by Justice Stacks and seconded by Justice Weinstock to
accept the May, 2011 minutes as read. 11 minutes as read.

Judge Hill gave updates regarding the Bono Lake saying that there was work


The County Judge also stated that they were still working with the state on a
solution to the closed Bono Railroad Bridge. Grave Railroad Bridge. Gravette has a similar situation tte has a similar situation and and
they are looking into that as a viable solution.

Justice Stacks read the minutes from the last Public Service committee meeting. c Service committee meeting.

Justice Bryant read the minutes from the last Finance committee meeting. ce committee meeting. g.g.

Justice Couch read the minutes from the last Roads and Transportation
committee meeting.

There was no old business for the quorum court to discuss. iscuss.

The first and only item of new business was a proposed Tax Back resolution for
Rural Sourcing, Inc. entitled: titled:

A motion was made by Justice Stacks and seconded by A A A motion was made by Justice Stacks and seconded by J Justice Weinstock to ustice Weinstock to
accept the proposed resolution as read.
Justice Bowers wanted to know if anyone was at the court meeting to represent
the company. Since there was no one from Rural Sourcing, Inc, Tony Thomas rcing, Inc, Ton
answered the questions Mr. Bowers presented.

A roll call vote was then taken by Deputy Lewis with all ten justices present voting
in favor of the measure. Resolution 2011--8 passed with no opposition. --8 passed with no opposition.

Since there was no further business to attend to, a motion was made by Justice
Render to adjourn the meeting. Justice Weinstock seconded the motion.
Everyone was in favor and the Craighead County Quorum Court stood adjourned
until July 25, 2011.
